• 1. What is Voie d’Espoir?

  Voie d’Espoir is a Haitian organization specializing in family origins searches and support for adoptees of Haitian origin and biological families. Our mission is to facilitate searches, help reconstruct family histories, and support individuals throughout their journey of reconnection.

• 2. Who can receive support from Voie d’Espoir?

  Our services are primarily intended for adoptees of Haitian origin who wish to search for their biological families, as well as biological families in Haiti who hope to be found by their loved ones. We also provide support during reconnection and family reunion processes.

• 3. I am an adoptee of Haitian origin. How can I find my biological family?

  You can begin by creating a profile on our platform and submitting any information or documents you have. Our team will review your request, assess possible research options, and inform you of the next steps.

• 4. I am searching for a child or relative who was placed for adoption. How can I register?

  Biological families can register with Voie d’Espoir, particularly through our registration and reception centers in Haiti. We collect available information, documents, and, whenever possible, photographs that may help facilitate a future search. Registration does not guarantee that the person being sought will be found.

• 5. What documents are needed to begin a search?

  Any document that may help your search can be useful, including a birth certificate, adoption judgment, adoption records, old photographs, names of biological parents, information about an orphanage, or contact details of people previously involved in the adoption process. You can contact us even if you have very little information.

• 6. Is it possible to find my family without adoption documents?

  Yes. Some searches can begin with limited information, such as a first name, a date or place of birth, a photograph, or a personal memory. However, the possibilities depend on the information available and the verification that can be carried out.
