Since the first searches conducted in 2015, Voie d’Espoir has supported adoptees and biological families in their efforts to search for their origins, trace family members, and reconnect. Our impact is not measured solely by the number of cases handled or reunions achieved. It is also reflected in the stories documented, the families heard and supported, the connections restored, and the people accompanied before, during, and after a possible reconnection.

An impact that goes beyond the numbers

Preserving family histories

Each registration helps document a family’s story, preserve information that may otherwise be lost, and create a record that may prove valuable today or many years from now.

Searching and verifying

Our teams cross-check information, conduct field research, and, when appropriate, use DNA testing as an additional tool in the search process.

Preparing for reunions

Finding someone is only one step. Voie d’Espoir helps prepare initial contact while respecting the consent, pace, and expectations of everyone involved.

Supporting people after reconnection

A reunion can bring many emotions and questions. Our mission continues beyond the first contact through mediation and ongoing support.

Staying closer to families

Through our teams and projects, Voie d’Espoir is progressively developing a local presence across several regions of Haiti.This presence allows us to meet families where they are, document their stories, verify information directly in the field, and make the search for origins more accessible.

RAPWOCHE / KONEKTE

Family tracing, registration, DNA testing, reconnection, and ongoing support, in partnership with Plan Kiskeya.

RASIN

Registration and support for biological families in the Palmes Region, with the support of the French Embassy and in collaboration with SSI France. The program also supports adoptees in their search for their origins.

These figures represent progress. But behind each one are people, families, years of waiting, and sometimes questions that have remained unanswered for a long time. We do not promise a reunion with every search.We commit to listening, documenting, verifying, searching, and supporting, while respecting the dignity, consent, and choices of everyone involved.
